NetSecOPEN Set Definitions

To ensure that certified results from a particular methodology are comparable, NetSecOPEN has defined specific sets of inputs for the testing process.  These sets are required to qualify for a certified result.

These sets may have updates, but they should not affect the certification status of any device.

NetSecOPEN - Set Definitions - 1.0

There should be something here about the 1.0 set list, but I am not sure what to say just a placeholder now.

The version of the set definitions presented is 1.0: 

 Published: March 15, 2023.

NetSecOPEN - App Mix - 1.0 for the definition of its application mixes.

NetSecOPEN - CVE Master - 1.0 for the definition of the full set of CVEs

NetSecOPEN - Test Labs - 1.0 for the definition of the accredited Test Labs (doesn’t exist yet)

NetSecOPEN - Set Definitions - 1.1

NetSecOPEN - CVE Set Public - 1.1 for the definition of the public set of CVEs

NetSecOPEN - Malware Set - 1.1 for the definition of the malware set

NetSecOPEN - Evasions Set - 1.1 for the definition of the evasions used

NetSecOPEN - Ciphers Set -  1.1  for the definition of the ciphers used

NetSecOPEN - Test Labs Set - 1.1 for the definition of the accredited Test Labs (doesn’t exist yet)

Additions / Changes

  • May 15, 2024 - Update NetSecOPEN - CVE Set, Master and Public - 1.1 with NETSECOPEN-CERT-005, removed CVE 2016-3368 from the master and public CVE lists.  This CVE result will be ignored in any future tests.
